Can anyone recommend a good Nepali-speaking accountant in London?

I've been self-employed for about two years now running a cleaning business and my tax affairs are getting complicated. I'd really prefer to work with a Nepali-speaking accountant who understands the community.

Ideally someone in East or North London, but happy to work remotely too. Any personal recommendations?

I've been using a brilliant accountant in Harrow for three years now. She specialises in small businesses in the Nepali and South Asian community, is fully bilingual, and her fees are very reasonable — around £600/year for a sole trader. I'll DM you her details.

Also check the Financial Services category on the Nepalese Business Directory — there are several good Nepali-speaking accountants listed there with reviews.

As someone who has set up multiple businesses, I can't stress enough how important a good accountant is. Don't just go with the cheapest option.

Things to look for: AAT or ACA/ACCA qualified, experience with self-employed/small businesses (not just corporate), and ideally someone who responds quickly to emails. The time you save and mistakes you avoid are worth far more than the fee.

I work with an accountant remotely who I found through the NBD actually — based in Aldershot but does everything online. Very good at dealing with HMRC issues and genuinely understands the Gurkha community context too. Highly recommend going through the directory listings as they're vetted businesses.
