Terms of Service

By creating an account, listing a business, purchasing a ticket, or otherwise using any feature of this platform, you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use our platform.

If you are using the platform on behalf of a business or organisation, you represent that you have authority to bind that entity to these terms.

Nepalese Business Directory Ltd (“Nepalese Business Directory Ltd”, “we”, “us”, “our”) operates the Nepalese Business Directory at https://nepalesebusinessdirectory.co.uk.

The platform is a community directory and marketplace connecting Nepalese businesses, events, job opportunities, and community members across the United Kingdom.

To access certain features you must create an account. You agree to:

• Provide accurate and complete registration information
• Keep your password confidential and not share it with others
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorised use of your account
• Be responsible for all activity that occurs under your account

You must be at least 18 years of age to create an account. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

Business owners may submit their business for listing on the directory. By submitting a listing you confirm that:

• You are the owner or authorised representative of the business
• All information provided is accurate, up to date, and not misleading
• You have the right to use any images, logos, or content submitted
• Your business complies with all applicable UK laws and regulations

All listings are subject to approval by our team. We reserve the right to reject, edit, or remove any listing that violates these terms, is misleading, or is otherwise inappropriate.

Paid plans: Business listing upgrades (Starter, Pro, Premium) are billed as subscriptions via Stripe. Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled. Refunds are at our discretion and subject to our refund policy.

Claiming a listing: If you claim an existing business listing, you must provide documentary evidence of ownership. False claims may result in account termination and legal action.

For event organisers:

• You are responsible for the accuracy of all event information, including dates, times, venues, and ticket prices
• You must honour all tickets sold through the platform
• NBD charges a commission on ticket sales (default 5%, plus applicable Stripe processing fees of 20p + 2.9% per transaction). Commission rates are set by NBD and are not adjustable by organisers
• Payouts are processed subject to our payout schedule and verification requirements
• You must not sell more tickets than your venue capacity permits
• Event cancellations must be communicated to us promptly; you are responsible for issuing refunds to attendees

For ticket buyers:

• All ticket purchases are final unless the event is cancelled or significantly changed by the organiser
• Tickets are personal to the named purchaser and may not be resold for profit
• We are not responsible for the quality, safety, or delivery of events hosted by third-party organisers

Jobs: Employers posting jobs confirm that the opportunity is genuine, legally compliant, and that they will handle applications in accordance with UK employment law. We are not a party to any employment contract.

Rooms: Landlords posting rooms confirm that the property is legally available to let, complies with all relevant housing legislation, and that listed details are accurate. We are not a letting agent and are not a party to any tenancy agreement.

We reserve the right to remove any listing that appears fraudulent, discriminatory, or otherwise in violation of UK law.

When posting reviews, questions, comments, or other community content you agree that:

• Your content is honest, factual, and reflects your genuine experience
• Your content does not defame, harass, or threaten any individual or business
• Your content does not contain spam, advertising, or irrelevant material
• You grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display your content on the platform

We reserve the right to remove any content that violates these terms or that we consider harmful, offensive, or misleading.

All payments on the platform are processed by Stripe. By making a payment you agree to Stripe's Terms of Service.

All prices are displayed in GBP and are inclusive of VAT where applicable. Subscription fees are charged in advance on a monthly or annual basis.

NBD Commission on ticket sales: We charge a platform fee (default 5%) on all event ticket transactions, in addition to Stripe's processing fees (20p + 2.9% per transaction). These fees are deducted before payout to the organiser.

You must not use the platform to:

• Post false, misleading, or fraudulent content
• Harass, threaten, or discriminate against other users
• Violate any applicable UK or international law or regulation
• Scrape, copy, or reproduce content from the platform without written permission
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the platform or other users' accounts
• Distribute spam, malware, or any harmful content
• Impersonate any person, business, or organisation
• Use the platform for any commercial purpose other than that permitted by these terms

The Nepalese Business Directory name, logo, and all website content created by us are owned by Nepalese Business Directory Ltd and protected by UK intellectual property law.

You retain ownership of content you submit (listings, images, reviews). By submitting content, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use, display, and distribute that content on the platform and in our marketing materials.

The platform is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We do not warrant that the platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses.

We are not responsible for the accuracy of listings, the quality of services provided by businesses, the conduct of event organisers, or the content of job and room listings. Any transactions, arrangements, or contracts entered into between users and businesses, organisers, or employers are solely between those parties.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for any claim arising from use of the platform is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

Nothing in these terms excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by UK law.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Nepalese Business Directory Ltd, its directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from your use of the platform, your content, or your violation of these terms.

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time if you breach these terms. You may delete your account at any time via your dashboard settings.

On termination: access to your account will cease, your listings will be removed, and any outstanding payments will be settled in accordance with our payout schedule.

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

We may update these terms from time to time. We will give at least 14 days' notice of material changes by email or site notice. Continued use of the platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
