HardA nourishing sprouted bean soup made with nine varieties of beans — traditionally eaten during Janai Purnima.

Ingredients
- 1Mixed beans 50g each: black-eyed peas, mung beans, chickpeas, kidney beans, soya beans, field peas, black lentils, fava beans, rice beans
- 22 onions
- 34 garlic cloves
- 42 tbsp ginger
- 53 tbsp ghee
- 62 tomatoes
- 71 tsp turmeric
- 82 tsp cumin-coriander powder
- 9Salt
- 10Fresh coriander
Method
- 1
Soak mixed beans overnight (24 hrs minimum) to sprout.

Drain and rinse sprouted beans.

Boil beans in salted water until soft (40–50 min). Drain.

Heat ghee, fry onions, garlic and ginger until golden.

Add tomatoes and spices. Cook until oil separates.

Add cooked beans, mix well, add 2 cups water.

Simmer 15 min. Garnish with coriander.
