More than 160 families in Goljung, Aamachhodingmo, Rasuwa have received essential food supplies and emergency support following the recent floods in the area.
The Rasuwa Flood Relief Campaign was organised by Nepalese Business Directory, Oscar Events Nepal and EH Capital, with support from local volunteers, businesses and members of the Nepali community in both the UK and Nepal.
£2,588 Raised in the UK
Through a GoFundMe campaign, Nepalese Business Directory raised £2,588 in the UK to support families affected by the floods.
The funds were used to provide essential food supplies and emergency shelter for more than 160 households.
Each relief package included basic items such as rice, dal, cooking oil, chiura, roasted chickpeas, soybeans, sugar, salt, noodles and ORS, along with emergency shelter support.
The supplies were intended to help families meet their basic needs for around 20 days.
Relief Delivered to Families in Rasuwa
The relief supplies were transported and distributed to families in Goljung, Aamachhodingmo, Rasuwa, with the help of the team and local volunteers on the ground.
The campaign was supported by Subodh Dahal, Team Lead, Mr Bhuchung Tamang, Ward Chairman, and local volunteers who helped with the planning, transport and distribution of supplies.
Their support helped ensure the relief reached families who were directly affected by the floods.
Support From Businesses and the Community
The campaign also received valuable support from businesses, organisations and individuals who contributed through donations, transport, coordination and volunteering.
Support came from organisations including Bunny O Momo, Manandhar Vehicle Service Pvt. Ltd., Nepal’s Renex, Oscar Events Nepal, Nepalese Business Directory, Nemophilis, Rolling Stones Rock Bar, The Concept and XO Club, alongside other supporters, friends and families who helped make the campaign possible.
Every contribution, whether through funding, transport or time, played a part in helping the relief effort reach families in need.
